Hi, I'm Leigh and I make things!
I learned the basics of sewing in a college costuming course, but I didn't really start sewing until I bought my first machine in 2022 on OfferUp. From there I developed a passion for natural fibers, reducing fabric waste, comfortable fit, and whimsical design.
I make each hat with secondhand materials from thrift stores and creative reuse stores. When you buy a hat from me, you'll receive a 100% unique piece that you can feel good about!
Frequently asked questions
How often do you add products?
While I am aiming for monthly drops, my health demands rest at times unknown to me. So to be safe, I will add hats and other items as they are available!
Unfortunately this means drops will likely not be consistent, but I will post to Instagram every time I add new product!
Are purchases final sale?
I am unable to accept returns on any item at this time, so all items are final sale.
If you are unhappy with your hat, please reach out to me to let me know what issues you have and I will see what I can do.
What are your hats made from?
Each hat is made from secondhand materials, whether thrifted linens, fabric, or clothing or from my own scraps from sewing my own clothes.
I do my best to list in each hat where the fabric came from as well as the fiber content.
Where and how are your hats made?
My hats are made in the comfort of my own home in the Philadelphia area!
I sew on a Singer Heavy Duty 4423 sewing machine and a Bernina Bernie Serger.
When will I get my order?
I do my best to ship your order as soon as possible. However, please note that I am disabled and so my daily activities are at the whims of my illnesses. If there is going to be a long delay in shipping your item, I will reach out and let you know!
